Delam dobro…

18 JULY 2017 – FIRST DAY

By Concha Garrido (Spanish)
After a whole morning of travelling, almost with barely any sleeping on the plane or even in the night before, the beauty of Ljubljana woke me up. I couldn’t imagine how beautiful it is in reality. However, that didn’t made me forget how scared i was about getting to know other people from other countries, but the activities we did made me realize I souldn’t be. I’m really glad to be here and be with such an amazing people, can’t wait to spend the next whole week with them!

19 JULY 2017– SECOND DAY

By Paulina Stepinska (Polish)
It was really hard to get up after yesterday evening celebration 🙂 What i remember from the morning is that we have delicious breakfast consist of cookies and sweets.. After this energizing breakfast we start our work in rhythm of Slovenian radio 😀 The day was finished in Spanish way-with delicious Sangria and traditional Spanish food. I love it (specially Sangria) and i must definitely ask for recipe and try in the future to do it at home, hoping it will be a little close to the one, i have a chance to taste in here 🙂

20 JULY 2017 – THIRD DAY

BY Marta de la Cruz (Spain)
It was a hard day working all together, but we finished our goal in the station!! We were so happy for that, and we had our reward with delicious kremšnita. In the evening, we had a good time cutting the grass, i mean, we tried jejeje. At evening our serbian cheff cooked us a delicious dinner and we enjoyed the time that we spend together after that.
Yesterday was amazing, every slovenian neighbour is just so kind…. incredible people, really. We are soo lucky to have this opportunity to spend this entire week with you, and feel part of the lovely community you’ve create. Thanks. 🙂
(Vsi skupaj smo trdo delali cel dan, toda trud ni bil zaman, delo v gasilskem domu smo dokončali. Veseli smo tega.
Hvala. :))

21 JULY 2017 – FOURTH DAY

BY Saša Kovačević (S_LOVEnia)
Doubts before starting this project and fears about what kind of volunteers will come disappeared already after the first afternoon.
After few days together and bonding by work we could finally spent a more touristic day. After a private tour at National centre for civil protection and disaster relief (ICZR), we spent the afternoon in Ljubljana. Again very nice, colourful and “new-knowledge” moments! I’m grateful for a cooperating group of our volunteers that is more than special and has already a heart of it’s own.
Zelo prijetno popoldne, barvito in polno novih spoznanj.

22 JULY 2017 – FIFTH DAY

By Francesco Giovannini (Italy)
A day with the hunters…when we reached the hunters association, they were waiting for us with a big smile, cookies, fruit and coffee. After this delicious welcoming, the girls started to build up a new stair for the hunting watchtowers, while me and Jiří helped the hunters to remove stones working as a human chain. Then we went for a nice tour of the surroundings and finally the lunch…we were sitting all together and I felt part of that community. The “hunting noise” was a wonderful experience and I met very nice people who work as a family to take care of the environment they are surrounded by. We spent the rest of the day at Bled lake swimming, playing funny Polish games (thanks Paulina, except for one thing…) and enjoying the amazing view. When we got home there was a 50 years party and we met other nice people from the neighbours. To conclude, the best memory I will bring with me about today is related to the hunters which really made me feel like I was at home: thanks, for how you welcomed us and for what you do for your society.
(Dan z lovci … ko smo spoznali lovsko družino. Pričakali so nas z velikim nasmehom, piškoti, sadjem in kavo.

23 JULY 2017 – SIXTH DAY

By Dominik Kert (Slovenia)
Our Sunday morning didn’t start with relaxing in our bed. We had plan to go to seaside. Our tour started at 5:45 am so for some of us wasn’t so easy to get up so early. We went to Slovenian sea, but not just to swim and sunbathing. We went to salt pans in Seča. Bojan (employee) thought us to collect salt. We were showing a great team work there and we estimate that we collect more than a ton of salt. I really enjoy and more than i work/spending time with our guest from whole Europa, more i see how cool they are 🙂 I thing I will miss them after they leave. Our tour in Slovenian seaside was continuing with our friends volunteer firefighters form Piran. Mitja showed us their firefighters station in beautiful city Piran. Our tour ended with swimming, sunbathing and going home. This whole day was great experience for me, especially salt panning and i think all participants enjoyed too.
Obisk obale smo zaključili s kopanjem in sončenejm.

24 JULY 2017 – SEVWNTH DAY

By Milna Dojić (Serbia)
Despite this was the first rainy day since we got here, this did not stop us from planting and watering the grass, collecting woods and making bird houses. In fact, I believe after days sweating in heat, we were all glad by this kind of change. After long, exhausting, but very enjoyable hiking, we all prepared meal together. And then, once again, for God knows which time, I felt just like at home in Slovenia. With harmonica, Slovenian songs and people always ready to share a good time, today we created one of those precious memories of little things thet are not so little. After arriving to our beloved fire station, we had a lovely evening we got used to: awesome games, pleasent conversations and, of course, some beer! :)But for me, highlight of the day was talk with girl who comes to see how camps are doing. After we together spontainously created a mandala of our perfect expirience with this project, she left with the words that this was her best expirience with working camps, which says a lot about participans, but also camp leaders and local people.

25 JULY 2017 – EIGHT DAY

By Jirka Vavřík (Czech Republic)
Tuesday was our last whole day we spent all together, but in the beginning you wouldn’t notice that because it was going just like a regular day – breakfast, little bit of work, after that a cofee time at Saša’s place before lunch, which we had in a restaurant in a village nearby.
In the afternoon we started prepairing the most important event of the day – picnic meant to be the closing event of our whole week.
To the picnic arrived, despite of very bad weather, many local people; we had a barbeque, goulash, lot of beers and mostly – a lot of fun. All of us wore the “Delam dobro” T-Shirts and aprons and we tried being waiters and waitresses. And in meantime there was a “TV news” presenting what we did in the past few days along with a thank you speech for the locals.
We all had a great evening and none of us wanted to return home so early.

26 JULY 2017 – LAST DAY

By Marija Kunstelj
Last day – departure day. We cleaned the house, arranged transfer to Ljubljana and Brnik and finally say goodbye. It was silent morning, many tears… with hopeful thoughts we will met again in camp like that. What was glue that connected us so tiddly? Probably each participant with desire to work on his/her best way, contribute something useful to community and also share personal sotries and past experiences… Also the organization was made good. Thanks to hunters, sportsmen and firefighters!
Hvala lovcem LD Vodice, SD Strahovici in gasilcem.

    trojak :

Zelo pozdravljam take in podobne oblike prostovoljstva.
